Last year a Rook brought a youngster to the garden so I was wondering if it would happen again?

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!!!!!

Sure enough, June 5th they appeared on the fence and in the garden. Just the one as far as I could tell.
They look quite downy, their feathers still growing in.
A lot noisier than the smaller birds, as you might imagine but not calling constantly. They didn't stay around for very long, a few days, usually early mornings then they stopped coming, there's plenty for them out there in the countryside.
I absolutely love the awareness they have, all birds do but you can see it in these guys eyes.

In fact I only have shots from the one day, I have many more of mum / dad visiting but only this set of the young one.

To wrap this page up, a few shots of mum or dad, before they brought the youngster in.
Look at that beak! We see a LOT of Rooks in this area but only get treated to this close contact for a very short time.
See them again next year?
