We've had partridge visiting the garden ever since we moved here both Red-legged and Grey and they have turned up in larger groups which I took to be their young(ish) family but, August 11th was the first time I have seen actual youngsters come in.
First glimpse
It was just after 7 o'clock in the evening when I wander through to the den for something and glanced out the window.
A watchful eye
Judging by their behaviour, I think the adult furthest from camera may have been the male, very watchful and wary.
Think I've been spotted?
The youngsters were hoovering up all sorts with mum and dad joining in but keeping a wary eye around them.
Just the two this year
There were only two youngsters with them, I've seen five in the past.
