It was quite a while after moving here that I started seeing Goldcrests but not on the patch, up at the reservoir then one day when i was at the feeding post, Merlin heard Goldcrest so I stood and scanned all around me. Now, it is the smallest bird in the UK and, it's green so spotting them isn't always easy, add to that they rarely keep still! 
That shot was taken up at the reservoir which was the only place I had seen them up to now. Getting good shots of them is not easy.
Once I'd seen them on the patch, I started looking out for them on all walks.
I would still love to get some really nice shots of them.
I guess I've been lucky but always want more.
